Walcott to Liverpool (again..)
How many times have you read the headlines about Theo Walcott going to Liverpool..?
‘Could be handed a fresh start in the Premier League next season by Liverpool.’
‘Offered a central role at Liverpool and wants to move as playing out wide at Arsenal…’
‘Won’t sign contract with Arsenal, holding out for Liverpool move…’
According to the Sun, Liverpool are interested in the move, however it’s likely to be about £25m.
The main reason for Walcott trading the Emirates and Champions League football for Liverpool and no European football is more potential playing time.
He is not seen to be in Wenger’s 1st team plans and would likely to not feature in many games, chance are no key games.
So rather than settling for the bench and a cup run Walcott is interested in a move.
He does still have a lot to offer and when fully fit he can be devastating.
But….with someone of Klopp’s calibre at the helm I truly believe we could and should be linked with players that make you stand up and go ‘wow…’
but is that his style….?
…it isn’t is it….?
He makes wow…not buys it.
Jurgen Klopp is not looking for a new striker, which is why we’d never put an offer in for Higuain. But he is in the market for versatile forwards who can play a multitude of positions such as Mario Gotze and Sadio Mane. Walcott could just be an English alternative. Premier League experience…..Wanting to prove a point…
Do you think it’s really a gamble..?
