Trent Alexander-Arnold

17 year-old Trent Alexander-Arnold is on a mission to follow in the footsteps of his hero Steven Gerrard….massive boots to fill. He made his first team debut against Swindon Town last pre-season.

Alexander-Arnold Liverpool U18 star

He made a successful step up to U18 after captaining the Liverpool U16s. The creative midfielder will be one of the star performers in the U18 midfield this season. With a great engine and an eye for a pass, he is certainly the one that makes the team tick.

His natural position is centre midfield, which draws comparison to Steven Gerrard. His biggest attributes are his athleticism and ability to shoot from distance.

His recent 2nd half display against Tranmere was superb. Demonstrating some great link up play with Danny Ings. A narrow miss followed by more slick movement, collecting a reverse pass which resulted in a swift and incredibly direct finish from Ings. Demonstrating his willingness to run directly at the defence in search of a goal.

English Prospects..

He has captained England at younger age levels and was recently handed the captains badge for the U18s for several games.
He has a great and exciting game future at the club. Let’s see how he performs over the coming months, will he make the most out of every opportunity.

Thoughts on his hero..

“I always used to pretend to be Stevie G when I was playing as a kid as he is a Scouser. Everyone looks up to him.”

“I don’t think there is any footballer that doesn’t recognise his talent and what he has done for his club and country at World Cups. Now I may get that chance.”

Good luck – hopefully you’ll realise your dreams and become the next Liverpool star.
