It’s looking likely that Liverpool are going to be resolving a transfer with AS Roma for winger Mohamed Salah, after the Egyptian’s agent posted a photo of the streets of London on Snapchat.
Salah’s form for Roma last season showed just how much ability the former Chelsea man has. The 25-year-old scored 15 goals and registered 11 assists in last season’s Serie A, playing a key role in helping his side to a second placed finish.
According to reports in the Daily Star, Liverpool and Roma are close to ironing out a fee – with Salah already agreeing personal terms with Liverpool. Salah’s agent Remy Abbass Issa added more fuel to the flames after posting a photo of the streets of London on his Snapchat account – hinting that business is close to being completed.
It was reported last week that Roma had turned down an offer of around £26m and if the rumours were true he’d cost up to £42m, with Roma stating they would not accept anything less!
Salah will very much feel as though he has unfinished business in the Premier League after a very poor spell with Chelsea in 2014.
In a year and a half at Stamford Bridge, Salah failed to make much of an impact and saw himself shipped off to Fiorentina and then Roma, before joining the latter permanently last summer.
If Klopp and Liverpool really want Salah, it’s clear to see he wishes to join the club, then I’m convinced FSG will pay the additional cash required.
