Liverpool outcast Mamadou Sakho will finally have the opportunity to play in the Premier League this season, after Crystal Palace secured a loan deal for the defender in the final hours of transfer deadline day.
Crystal Palace were reportedly hoping to cut a deadline-day move for the Liverpool outcast, as manager Sam Allardyce looked to save the club from a relegation dogfight. However Liverpool did not want to sell him on the cheap and were holding firm on their valuation of £20m.
Despite not making a first-team appearance since April, with Jurgen Klopp revealing that he broke club rules before the campaign started.
Despite this it looks like they have settled for a loan deal for the remainder of the current season. However Crystal Palace are reportedly paying a fee of £2m for the move. Sakho will now be hoping to resurrect his career in South London with Crystal Palace.
He has a massive amounts of potential and I’m sure he will be a success, part of me is gutted that he wasn’t given an opportunity this term to play alongside Matip. A lot has obviously happened behind the scenes, I just hope it doesn’t come back to haunt us.
