Quincy Promes is latest to be linked to Liverpool

Liverpool are reportedly following Spartak Moscow’s Quincy Promes and could potentially make a move for him in January. Earlier in the week we were linked with Bayer Leverkusen’s starlet Julien Brandt. So it’s safe to say a move for a pacey young wideman is imminent.

The Liverpool Echo claims that Liverpool are looking into the possibility of bringing the Dutchman to Anfield when the winter transfer window opens.

Klopp is believed to be keen on increasing his attacking options at the club. Promes is featuring prominently on the German’s transfer targets list with just six weeks until the window reopens on January 1. Spartak are said to value Promes at  £25m, so he won’t come cheap.

He has recently agreed a new contract reportedly worth £55k a week keeping him at the club till June 2021. Liverpool are going to be without Sadio Mane for most of January due to the African Cup of Nations.

Taking on Lallana whilst representing the Netherlands

Great form in Russia

The 24-year-old swapped the Dutch Eredivisie with FC Twente for Russia’s top flight in August 2014. Since his £10m summer signing he’s gone on to register 36 goals and 19 assists in just 74 appearances for Spartak.
His form for the club, which has included five goals in 13 appearances this term. This has seen Promes feature heavily for the senior Dutch national side over the past 18 months. Since his switch to Spartak he has earned 15 of those caps.

A pacey wide man, who is primarily a right-winger is also comfortable up front or on the left flank. He isn’t afraid to take on defenders and shoot for goal, he sounds exactly the type of player Klopp would be after.

What do you think? Who would you like Liverpool to sign in January?
