Great news as it looks like Real Madrid are almost ready to accept Liverpool’s offer of £23.5m for Mateo Kovacic.
However we face tough competition from Roma for the Croatian midfielder.
Kovacic to Anfield?
Jurgen Klopp is keen on getting the deal resolved as soon as possible. Helped by the fact the Croatian midfielder is reportedly unhappy with his lack of playing time at the Bernabeu.
Kovacic has a lot of potential. Whilst at Inter Milan he was linked with Liverpool but decided to sign for Real Madrid, you can hardly blame him…the prospect of runnng out at the Bernabeu is stuff of dreams….
Class is permanent..
He really excels with his passing game and whilst at Inter he was seen as one of Europe’s most promising creative players.
I’m sure that not a lot has changed since 2015, class is permanent, form is temporary.
However according to Gazzetta World, Roma are keen on securing Kovacic on a season-long loan. Madrid have said they’d prefer a cash sale. With Liverpool having more money available to spend thanks to the crazy TV deal it’s looking likely he’ll be Anfield bound.
What do you think of the prospect of Kovacic arriving at Anfield?
