Martin Skrtel to Turkey

The Klopp revolution begins.
Jurgen’s mighty axe has swung and the 1st high profile player to leave is Martin Skrtel.
He is very close to agreeing personal terms with Fenerbahce, in a move worth up to £7m, according to The Guardian.

Having signed from Zenit St Petersberg in 2008 for £6.5m they do look as if they’re going to make a profit.

The 31-year-old has seen his profile reduced over recent months, as the mistakes have become more frequent.
Klopp has already signed Joel Matip and he has Gomez coming back from his season long ACL injury.

Skrtel formed a formidable partnership with Daniel Agger in 2012 and was seen as one of the best within Europe.

As the pace of the Premier League has changed, along with tactics he has found it difficult to cope.

Klopp has made it clear to Skrtel that he will have to seek pastures new this summer as Liverpool.

Skrtel who is with the Slovakia national team in France has had a lot of offers from around the world. Including unlikely destinations such as China.
But it looks like he has chosen his next destination to be Turkey.

  1. We have Matip 🙂
He was free- so any money we make on Skrtel will be pure profit!
    Amazing Mr Klopp…
