I’m excited by Liverpool’s recent transfer targets…

I for one am excited that Liverpool’s recent transfer targets are players of higher calibre. I appreciate that it may just be speculation or agent talk. However, for the next couple of weeks I’m going to enjoy the stories of all the world class players being linked to us.

In the hope that some can buy into Klopp’s ideologies and sign on the dotted line….
We have been linked to some real quality recently and I’m sure this will intensify over the coming weeks as we head into pre-season.

As football fans we’ll all have our lists of players we’d love to see walk out in the red shirt at Anfield, but when buying someone there are so many variables. The fallout of no Europe is a BIG factor, whilst this may mean a reduced squad size, it also means that players who want to be associated with the Elite of Europe are not willing to join.

Mario Gotze stories won’t go away..

There have been so many reports linking him to us such as the Sky Sports article in March.

“Please sign Mario….”

This built and built and we all got so excited, assuming he would be signing for us.

He was even told that he won’t be in the Bayern Munich squad for the Champions League.

Despite all this, the latest rumours are he’s still willing to fight for his place in Bayern’s 1st team…i’m gutted.

Higuain linked again..

Gonzola Higuain has been linked to us a lot, causing Twitter to go into meltdown when Klopp was photographed with Higuain’s brother. They were just watching a football game in San Francisco as detailed in this article from 90min.com.

Marek Hamsik is the latest player to be linked with us, with reports of offers being made for up to £35m, however nothing has come from Anfield so far.

He would really fit in with our style of play, working in the front 4 or possibly playing alongside Can. This is a transfer i’d love to see materialise.

3 world class stars, all players we would love to represent us….but nothing, no sign of a transfer. For me it shows our level of intent…we are the best and want to be associated with the best.

Are any of them realistic?

Of the people linked to us which ones are realistic…most are just ‘stories’ doing the rounds. The one potential big money move who appears more realistic is Sadio Mane. For me this is the transfer that may happen. This is possibly because it doesn’t excite me as much as the other three. But lets be honest, he is a massive upgrade on what we have at the moment, slotting nicely as an attacking right side midfielder.

The three we have purchased, Loris Karius, Joel Matip and Marko Grujic have all happened very quickly. Almost out of the blue, similar to how Liverpool used to operate years ago.

Karius has a massive amount of potential..

All talk and negotiations behind closed doors.

Players who fights for Klopp..

I honestly believe a MASSIVE player will be on his way to us shortly. The only way we can compete is to do it quickly, as soon as a CL club gets a sniff of their availability it could be a different story. He needs to be a player who will fight for Klopp, give 100% every day They need to be prepared to run more than ever and buy into his ethos.

The margins are so small and i believe that we are almost there. Let’s not get too disheartened or carried away…we are Liverpool.

In Klopp we trust.
