A much rested Liverpool travel to Leicester to attempt to close the gap on league leaders Chelsea. Back from the mid-season training camp in Malaga, Liverpool now face a manager-less Leicester City. The test really will be to see if they have benefited from the break. After hearing that fatigue was the reason for January’s failings, you’d hope and to a certain point expect Klopp and his men to deliver all three points.
Travelling to Leicester is always a difficult task, having lost there last season I hope that we can reverse those fortunes and register the double this season.
After the sacking of Claudio Ranieri you’d expect that they would be still raw and wounded – potentially the right opportunity to strike. However, Liverpool have struggled against teams in similar positions this month so it could be more difficult than most expect.
Hopefully we face the Leicester of 2016/17 not the team that famously won the title.
Henderson isn’t fit to play and could also be ruled out for the Arsenal game too. The only major question is should Klopp choose Lucas over Klavan again? Klavan has worked well with Matip this season when played together, with Matip offering composure to complement Klavan.
