TRANSFER RUMOURS. Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney has emerged as a possible transfer target for Liverpool this summer as Jürgen Klopp looks to strengthen the squad this summer.
The Scottish left-back has had an outstanding season with Celtic this year, emerging as one of the most promising defenders in Britain, so much so that a move could potentially cost Liverpool around £15m.
The 20-year-old defender has flourished under former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers this year, making 40 appearances in all competitions. Arsenal and Newcastle are believed to be interested in Tierney but Liverpool are leading the race for his signature after pulling out of the race to sign Monaco defender Benjamin Mendy.
James Milner has filled in at left-back for Liverpool this season, with Moreno not showing the consistency required to be a regular starter for Klopp’s side. Milner at times hasn’t enjoyed the role and Liverpool will certainly look for a full-time replacement for the 31-year-old midfielder.
