Liverpool transfer news and rumours: Espanyol full-back Marc Navarro being tracked after La Liga breakthrough? According to reports in the Mirror, initially reported through Mundo Deportivo.
The Reds are believed to be keeping a close eye on the 21 year-old right-back, who has recently been promoted to Espanyol’s senior ranks having played for their B team since 2014.
The Spaniard is believed to have a £21.3million release clause in the contract which he has recently signed, which is set to keep him at the La Liga club until 2021.
Navarro does look a good fit for English football as in true Klopp style he is very powerful, providing a great attacking threat. His 6ft 1in height will provide a much needed presence in the air where Liverpool have been very weak at set-pieces this season.
Whether this would mean a switch to left-back for Clyne should the transfer actually go through, it’s unclear at the moment.
With talk of between 5 and 6 new faces arriving over the summer Klopp and Edwards will be drawing up quite an extensive shortlist.
