Liverpool are desperate to increase their attacking options this summer and are believed to be closing in on a deal for Mohamed Salah.
Previous reports have suggested that Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Mohamed Salah. Liverpool were looking to pressure Roma into selling the Egyptian star, after offering £28m they had hoped to sign him.
However it is now thought Roma will accept no less than £35m for the player. Something that according to reports FSG won’t currently entertain.
Douglas Costa is keen to make a move this summer having struggled to earn a regular spot under Carlo Ancelotti. Salah and Costa fit the Klopp prototype of fluid players who can play anywhere in the front line.
This is where it is very much 1+1=3.
Costa would cost around £35million – a similar fee to Salah – but Liverpool would face competition from a number of clubs.
So we want Salah, who clearly wants to join us. We won’t pay the £35m fee, so apparently looking elsewhere – Costa is 2nd choice who incidently will cost £35m!!
You stumped? I am…..You can tell the football season has finished with all these reports flying around!!
Salah had an impressive campaign where he scored 19 goals and providing 12 assists in 41 appearances – The deal to take Salah from Roma is in the works with wages of £90,000 a week said to be agreed, but an agreement with Roma still to be reached.
Surely after a great campaign, FSG have to allow Klopp one of his initial targets to sign?
