Jurgen Klopp has urged Liverpool fans to be patient as the club try to land their top transfer targets. Klopp has been frustrated in his attempts to add a centre-half, midfielder and left-back to record £39million signing Mohamed Salah and Bosman capture Dominic Solanke.
Red Bull Leipzig are resisting Liverpool’s attempts to land Naby Keita, while Liverpool have been forced to put their interest in Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk on hold at the moment.
Klopp has tried to assure supporters the club are working hard behind the scenes to land the players he wants.
“Of course the transfer market opened a few days ago, yes it will be a difficult one, maybe it’s getting more and more difficult, especially in England.
But we have made a lot of good things so far. If you cannot see it so far, you can imagine we have done a lot of things behind the scenes.
Sometimes you need to be patient and that’s what we are in the moment – to wait for the right moment and then we will see what happens.”
