There have been a lot of reports this morning that Inter Milan keen on loan move for Lucas. Whilst a deal hasn’t been agreed yet but the Italian side want to add him to their squad, ideally before they kick start their second half of the season after their winter break on 8 January.
The Brazilian is Liverpool’s longest-serving player having played 324 games since his arrival in 2007. He has not been a first choice under manager Jurgen Klopp and has had limited playing time .
Joël Matip and Dejan Lovren are first choice in central defence – initially preferred as back up, just recently Ragnar Klavan has been playing alongside Lovren during Matip’s latest absence from first team action.
A strong central midfield
His position of choice is in Central Midfield. However Klopp has plenty of options there, with Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana doing an amazing job as his first choice midfield three. With Emre Can, Kevin Stewart and Marko Grujic all a very capable second choice.
Lucas, 29, is not Inter’s only option but club sources have indicated there is a “strong possibility” of the move going through within the next week.
