Firmino out of action against West Ham

INJURY NEWS: Firmino is out of action for the Premier League clash later in this afternoon with West Ham at the London Stadium.

The Brazil international didn’t travel with Jurgen Klopp’s squad to the capital after failing to recover from injury.

However, Lucas Leiva, who was also a fitness doubt, returned to training on Saturday and will be available to face the Hammers.

The question is the starting line up. Now Lucas is fit does Klopp select a midfield three of Wijnaldun, Lucas and Can knowing that there is little creativity to have a front three of Coutinho, Sturridge and Lallana. Or will he play a diamond formation with Coutinho playing in a no.10 role behind the attacking Sturridge and Origi? Will Klopp be tempted to see how Coutinho plays in a no.8 role?

Only Klopp knows and I’m sure he’ll keep us guessing right till kick off!

  1. So pleased to say we didn’t actually miss him, glad we changed the system to suit the players available!

  2. This was a big test for them as he lead the line so well throughout the season, hardly a surprise he’s Klopp’s favourite forward!

  3. I’m not that much of a internet reader to be honest, but your blog’s really nice, keep it up! I’ll go ahead and bookmark your site to come back later. All the best
