Liverpool target Mahmoud Dahoud has reportedly made a decision regarding the club he wants to join next season – and it isn’t Liverpool. According to German source WAZ, the Borussia Monchengladbach attacking midfielder has decided that he wants to remain in the Bundesliga and has opted to move to Borussia Dortmund.
The 21-year-old is said to have agreed on the move with Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel last summer, and with the offer to join the league’s high flyers still on the table, he now has his sights set on making the switch.
More disappointing news
The other disappointing news is that the rumoured transfer fee will only be £8.6m!! This is due to Dortmund triggering his release clause. However they will be expected to pay out a bit more in other costs, presumably add-ons, to secure the deal.
The player has been on Jurgen Klopp’s radar for some time now. It will come as a major blow to Liverpool if he misses out on this exciting target.
