Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is reportedly a potential summer target for Juventus. The German is apparently just one of many players the reigning Serie A champions are considering approaches for at the end of the season.
The former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder arrived in the summer of 2014 for just over £10m and has been in and out of the Liverpool team this season. He is currently due to be out of contract at Anfield at the end of the 2017/18 season.
Under Brendan Rodgers, he initially played as an ‘inside’ centre-back in a back, before returning to a central midfield role under the leadership of Klopp. However this season, with the introduction of a 4-3-3 formation Can has somewhat struggled and has recently come under criticism from some fans.
I would personally be gutted to see Can leave, he has a crazy amount of potential. Lest not forget many were calling for him to be given the captains armband this season.
Juventus could also step into Liverpool territory with another of their rumoured targets as Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud is now being linked with a move to Turin as well.
Germany Under-21 international Dahoud was a serious Liverpool target last summer, with Gladbach ultimately refusing to sell, and has consistently been linked with the Reds ever since Klopp was appointed at the tail end of 2015.
Juventus are potentially a more attractive proposition at this moment due to almost guaranteed Champions League football and much stronger title credentials. This puts even more pressure for Klopp and his men to finish in the top 4.
