Cameron Brannagan

Cameron Brannagan is one of club and countries best prospects. He has a massive future at the club who has been described by Jurgen Klopp as a real talent who has “everything you need from a midfield player”. Amazing comments.

Liverpool 1-0 Utd

He was brought up in Salford, Manchester, but Liverpool spotted him ahead of local club United and signed him to youth terms when he was just 7. I’m amazed we got him so young.

This is a lad who’s been right through the Liverpool system. He understands it, knowing what’s expected from him.

Similar to Ben Woodburn, he’s naturally an attacking midfielder, best suited to play behind the striker. He’s capable of finding his team-mates in tight situations and with great technique and vision beyond his years.

“Everything you need from a midfield player”

One of club and countries best prospects

Having become a regular for the U21 side he went on to score 3 goals in the U21 Premier League campaign in 2013/14.
This then prompted the mighty Barcelona and Real Madrid to scout him.

Stories circulating of a £5.5m offer being put together. Although this may be a rumour, but what a story!
Regardless of that, it clearly worked as Brendan Rodgers was so impressed he was chosen as a substitutes for Liverpool’s FA Cup game in January against Oldham Athletic.

Senior debut

Cameron had to wait till 17th September 2015 to make his senior Reds debut. He was selected as a substitute against Bordeaux in their opening Europa League group game, making his entrance on the 76th minute where he replaced Jordan Rossiter. He’s since made his 1st start for the 1st team a month later against Bournemouth in the League Cup.

Demonstrating his power and ability to drive on though to goal…

Wigan have tested our resolve with a £1m offer for him, which thankfully was rejected.
I think he’ll be staying at the club for a while longer.
He is the Future of Liverpool. We need more players like him, an English midfielder with fabulous technique. In fact, he is one of the clubs and countries best prospects. Despite being such a young age, he’s already considered one of the best set-piece takers at Melwood.
