All the big teams are used to stories like this on a regular basis. Your team does well, players perform at an extremely high standard and get noticed. This season Coutinho has been tearing up the Premier League – we then hear stories about teams like Barcelona and PSG after him.
The latest name to now get linked to PSG is Adam Lallana. For a hefty fee of £40m!!
The England international has seen his career revived under Jurgen Klopp that has made him a key part of Liverpool’s success this season. He has been the heartbeat to the team. Whilst Coutinho, Mané and Firmino have received all the praise, Lallana has to most been the unsung hero. His worth to the club has actually increased whilst being injured. The past two games Liverpool have missed that nifty, tight foot control. His link up play with the forward line is unrivalled. Often ghosting past the forward line getting himself into very damaging positions.
His impressive performances have also been on the international stage too. Lallana scoring three goals in his last three games for England.
Lallana to PSG
The report suggests they are ready to make a £40m offer in January and are willing to triple his current wages by offering the 28-year-old £200,000-a-week. A PSG insider revealed; “Adam is seen as a player of real quality in the Premier League.”
“His age is not a problem as the club want the best players — and he is one of them.” PSG boss Unai Emery is keen to bring Lallana to the Parc des Princes. PSG director of football Patrick Kluivert a big fan of the midfielder.
He is currently suffering with a groin injury, however is expected to return to the first-team in early December.
Lallana is well suited to the German’s high-pressing style and has gone from strength to strength under Klopp’s leadership.
Should this story play out its going to an interesting transfer window.
Klopp doesn’t buy stars but makes them. FSG’s moneyball equation means occasionally these stars are to be sold – last time I checked we had quite a few stars.
