Adam Lallana is having a sensational season so far. So many stand out moments and a player who has really grown into his role. He has really developed since Klopp took over at Liverpool. Now more than justifying the original transfer fee.
He oozes class, skill, ability to get out of tight spaces as well as stamina levels. He has shown on more than one occasion his is the Premier League’s marathon man.
Whilst Sunderland’s Jermain Defoe scored two penalties to deny Liverpool victory at the Stadium of Light, nobody can question the effort levels of Adam Lallana.
Stats to a new level
The midfielder’s marathon running stats have been a feature of Liverpool’s season and the England international took that to new levels either side of new year.
After covering 12.88 kilometres in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Manchester City in the late kick-off at Anfield on New Year’s Eve, he ran even further at Sunderland.
Lallana not only completed the full 90 minutes but he also ran 13.22 kilometres that afternoon – once again far further than any other Premier League player on the day.
