Jordan Henderson is looking for Liverpool to dust themselves down and just get over the dramatic defeat against Bournemouth on Sunday. Henderson has prescribed a mixture of working hard on the training pitch, with a dose of ‘focusing on the next game’. Liverpool found themselves 3-1 up with less than 15 minutes to play on the South Coast, only for Bournemouth to score twice in quick succession to equalise.
Bournemouth then went on to win the game in stoppage time after an error from goalkeeper Loris Karius. It was as if history was repeating itself. For many it’s a reality check of not only how far we’ve come, but how much work is still actually needed.

Jordan Henderson; “That’s the one thing you’ve got to do – try and learn from it as best you can and use it for the next game.”
“Obviously we’ll be disappointed for the next couple of days but we’ll get back on the training pitch, get back working hard, and focus on the next game.”
“We’ve got to learn from it quickly, move on and make sure we’re right at it in the next game. There’s nothing we can say, really – very disappointing result.”
“I don’t feel like we were at 100 per cent throughout the game to be honest but we did well to get back to 3-1 in the lead.”
“[We needed] to keep going and keep fighting, which in the end we didn’t do, and they applied pressure in the last 20 minutes and got the goals.”
The all-important next game comes on Sunday at home against a West Ham side with the second worst defensive record in the Premier League after they were heavily beaten by Arsenal on Saturday.
This is a great time for Liverpool to just get back to what they’re good at. Scoring and winning games!!
